Ryan is dancing for Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve, whose mission is to bring nature and community together. The 170-acre preserve is a a public charity that served 48,000 visitors in 2017!
Creasey Mahan offers innumerable adventures and learning opportunities for children, families, and all community members of Oldham County and beyond. They work with 92 schools and groups to offer educational classes, field trips, and community events to inspire a love and appreciation for nature and environmental stewardship. The preserve sustained considerable damage when the recent EF1 tornado tore through the area causing the loss of over 300 mature trees and recovery will take years, and ongoing maintenance to trails, buildings, play areas, fields, and programming is always at hand, so donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will go to good use.
Creasey Mahan also have a special outreach to children in poverty and adults and children with special needs.
Ryan is more than happy to embarrass himself on the dance floor to help keep Creasey Mahan accessible to all.
In the wise words of Ryan’s hero, John Muir, “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.
